I am a survivor of a trauma head injury [tbi] and spinal cord injury [sci]. Due to a auto/ped accident in MT several years ago. Prior to my 1991 accident I had no problem with erections. However after my 4 week coma and 3-4 month hospital stay I was impotent. Which put a strain on my relationship to where my ex left me. Tried different supplements but nothing worked. Then tied Caverject which did work but I have a slight phobia of needles. Especially in sensitive areas of penis. Then went to a Uroligist who performed an penile implant. Cost alot....but it was well woth it. However it takes up to an hour to ejaculate but that's okay. So if you are healthy maybe a penile implant may be the answer for you. After the surgery my penis was fully erected for a couple of weeks. Until the Dr inflated me and showed me the process. I am thankful having an implant.

Do you have the 3 piece, inflatable implant? How much did it cost? And your insurance did not cover it? No complications, like infections, malfunction etc? Does it feel natural. Thanks, Masterstern
I have a AMS 700 3 piece inflatable. How much did it cost? It billed out at over $42,000. And your insurance did not cover it? Yes, insurance paid it all. By the time they got through with the discounts, they probably paid about $22,000 to the hospital, about $3500 to the uro, and about $600 to the be put to sleep. No complications, like infections, malfunction etc? The only complication came in the swollen testicals (which I really think came from a PA who really did not know much about what he was doing). The scare ending up crusting inside the sack, which became very hard. The uro said it was not common, but that it did happen. One testical got caught up in the scaring and it acted like a vice. A little testical pain under certain circumstances is fine (a red head, leather, mask, whip, etc), but that was a little much! I could not sleep anyway except on my back for about 2 months. I ended up in the recliner most nights. I did have to take pain pills to sleep for about 2 months. Does it feel natural. Yep. I have asked my wife point blank if she feels like I have a rubber dildo impanted. She still smiles and says shut up and put it in. Enough said!
I had Blue Cross, but my group policy includes impotency treatments. It paid for the injections for 8 years. I had already busted the deductable ($300 + $1000 our of pocket) with the kidney stones.
